Due to
popular demand, I dug out my grandmother's recipe of Parsi Vasanu.
Be warned
this is an extremely difficult dish to make. I takes a whole day to
make it. Shopping for the ingredients can take several trips to
different stores. However the vasanu will make you stronger and keep
you sustained.
This is not
a great food for diabetics and please do not overeat it. A small
piece (2 inch size) is enough for the day. as my mother says:
"Dikra,
thodu khavanoo, pachavanu nahi to garam par se"
"My Dear,
Eat small amount or it will create heat in your body"
