Boomla Khaaro Ras
Congratulations to our member Sheroo Rusi Parekh for winning the FridayFiesta contest.
(Please adjust ingredients as per your taste)
Cut them into 2 pieces & put in a strainer.
Grind together following :
1 tsp cumin seeds / jeera
5-6 cloves or more of garlic
4 or as per your taste green chillies
1 cup Cilantro / kothmir
1/2 Tspn Turmeric powder / haldi
4 tablespoons of rice flour
3 glasses of water
Put Bombay ducks in a dish & gently marinate with 1 Tspn of above ground masala.
Keep rest of the ground masala aside.
Heat oil in a wide pot.
Add 3 sprigs or more of curry leaves & once they splutter add 3 medium very finely chopped onion & saute till soft & translucent.
Add 4 tablespoons of rice flour (If want thicker consistency add more).
Saute for a while. Add ground masala & saute till oil separates.
Add 3 glasses of water & bring it to a boil.
Add more water if needed as per your consistency.
Add handful of chopped cilantro.
Carefully put Bombay duck pieces & let it cook just for about a minute or two.
Don’t stir. Just lift the vessel & give a gentle shake.
Serve immediately with rice.
