We call this as “masaldaani”, lifeline of almost all indian kitchens.

Yes Deeksha, I find it a lifeline too. Since we use so many spices in our Indian cooking, it is One Box to use instead of all the different jars to pull out of the kitchen cabinets!

I have one for the “Dessert” Spices like Cardamon, Elaichi, Nutmeg, Cloves, Mace, Jaifal, Vanilla and so on. The other for hot spices like Curry Powder, Dhana Jeera, Jeera, Cumin, Salt, Pepper, Chilli, Turmeric, Mustard, Coriander, etc. Hmm think of it I need a 3rd one for Seeds! (Cumin, Coriander, Fenugreek, Chia, Black Mustard…)

Rita, you gave a very good idea to use this for “Dessert spices” also. I use it for everyday used spices and seeds but it never crossed my mind that for other spices also it is equally useful. Thanks a lot!
