SWEET AND SOUR AND SPICY VEGETABLE STEW
        
         1 lb. frozen mixed vegetables
         2 or 3 large potatoes cubed and fried
         1/2 tsp. salt
         1 tsp. curry paste
         1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
         2 hot green peppers finely chopped
         2 tbs. finely chopped cilantro
         1/2 cup finely chopped onions
         1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
         2 tbs. slivered almonds
         2 tbs. seedless raisins
         2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
         2 tbs. red wine vinegar (or cider vinegar)
         2 tbs. sugar
         2 tbs. cooking oil
         1/2 lb. cherry tomatoes
        
         Sauté onions in cooking oil till golden brown. Add to this cumin
         seeds, curry paste and green peppers and sauté till aroma is
         released. Add to this Worcestershire sauce salt, and then frozen
         vegetables. Cook till vegetables are tender but do not over cook.
         Fry potatoes separately. Add them to cooked vegetables, and mix.
         Then add slivered almonds, raisins, vinegar and sugar and heat
         through. Finally add cilantro and whole cherry tomatoes and cook
         for a couple of minutes more till tomatoes are steamed through but
         firm. Serve hot.
        
         Serves 6 to 8.
