Zareen Karani Aaroz: Sharing a Video and a Vision by a Boston Entrepreneur

VIDEO: Library Class

Dear Friends,

We are pleased and proud to present to you a video about our enterprising Rita Kapadia speaking about Parsees and Parsi Cuisine at the Carlisle Gleason Public Library in the Boston area. Through her efforts and venture of Parsi Cuisine, Rita is helping preserve and showcase our Parsi heritage, not only of food, but of our customs, rituals and traditions.

Let us support this effort by not only buying her books ourselves, but by visiting her website and encouraging our local libraries, town and schools to buy the books and learn who Parsees are.

In the video (link below) Rita shared Parsi history and heritage with the Carlisle town folk, who attended this in spite of the cold weather in January. There was a ice and snow storm going on outdoors, but warm, hot and spicy Parsee food was had by all indoors!

Since 1999, Rita Kapadia, founder of ParsiCuisine.com, has provided recipes, food news, health tips and articles on her website. Recently, Rita has published several Parsi Cuisine cookbooks.

“Parsi Cuisine: Manna of the 21st Century” is one of her best selling cookbooks. The cookbook provides classical and regional recipes as well as an introduction to Parsi and Persian Zarathushti heritage, history, and culture. The book’s full color photographs and 240 pages are intertwined with descriptions of ancient and modern Parsi ceremonies, folktales, travel excerpts and anecdotes. Besides being a reliable reference, it also makes an ideal gift for your children and friends during Navroze and other Celebrations. Some buyers have presented these book/s to a newly-wedded couple as start to their married life with good food.

There are 12 individual cookbooks written with a collection of recipes for Dessert, Vegetarian, Meats, Seafood, Pickles, Chutneys and Preserves, and other categories.

Parsi Cuisine Cookbooks are sold on Amazon.com worldwide. Click HERE to visit the author page at Amazon.

Recipes, and global news related to parsi cuisine are always online at www.ParsiCuisine.com

Enjoy! And do make the effort and ensure that each one of us helps to encourage the spread of these books and the appreciation of our Parsi food and customs.

Best regards,

Zareen Karani Aaroz
