Indian Bhurji with Cottage Cheese (Egg free)

Prepared this almost like our Parsi Egg Akuri

INGREDIENTS

300 Grams Paneer/Cottage Cheese
3 medium onions finely chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped
1 Finely chopped spring onion

1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp jeera powder
1/2 tsp dhana powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
Chilli powder to taste
2 medium tomatoes  chopped
Cilantro finely chopped for garnish
Oil

METHOD

Heat oil in a non-stick pan.

Add onions and saute till light brown.

Add green chilli, spring onion and saute for a minute.

Add all the spice powders and sauté for a minute.

Add tomatoes. Saute for a minute.

Add paneer/cottage cheese.

Mix well. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.

Garnish with cilantro.

Serve with  chapattis or toasted bread.

Indian cuisine has so many different flavors/spices and any time I make a recipe it is always good. I even have a few of the spices! Thanks for sharing with Fiesta Friday Rita 🙂
