Pistachio Saffron Milk

INGREDIENTS:

  • Milk – 2 cups
  • 2 Tbsp ground Pistachios
  • Cardamom Powder – 2 Tsp
  • Saffron – 10- 15 strands (Prep: soaked in warm water for 10 minutes)
  • Sugar – 2 Tbsp

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Add 2 cups of milk to a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium, add 2 teaspoons of cardamom powder, and mix thoroughly.

2. Soak 10-15 strands of saffron in 2 tablespoons of warm water for 10 minutes and keep, then add the infused saffron and water to the milk, stirring well to combine.

3. Add 2 tablespoons of chopped pistachios and cook the mixture for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.

4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar and continue simmering until the liquid reduces by 1/2 cup, leaving approximately 1 1/2 cups of the prepared mixture.

5. Pour the pistachio saffron milk into serving glasses and garnish with remaing chopped pistachios and saffron strands for an warm and elegant finish.
