Australia
For World Egg Day 2022, Australian Eggs are driving country-wide digital engagement, asking Australian farmers to create 10-second films featuring their team members, naming as many egg dishes as possible. In addition, Australian Eggs will share a range of recipes, including low-cost options, on their digital channels, exploring the versatility and affordability of eggs. They will also run a competition to win egg-citing prizes, and share engaging egg facts across their social media platforms.
Sunny Queen will celebrate World Egg Day with a range of internal and external activities. They plan to post about the top three ways to cook eggs on social media, run a colouring competition in a local newspaper, and also host an egg-related quiz for their customers. Additionally, the Sunny Queen team intend to mark the occasion with egg-centred buffet lunch and quiz.
Canada
To celebrate World Egg Day in Canada, Manitoba Egg Farmers are hosting a competition at Hargrave St. Market to find out which vendor makes the consumer’s favourite egg dish. Members of the public are invited to the street market to taste the delicious egg-y dishes and then cast their vote on their favourite to be in for the chance of winning grocery gift cards.
China
In China, LyJa Media will be engaging with consumers through their social media channels. They are organising a family egg cooking competition online, as well as conference sessions focusing on egg development and marketing.
India
Parsi Times in India will celebrate World Egg Day 2022 by holding two different ‘EGGstra Special’ competitions. The first will be a recipe contest, where participants are asked to ‘EGGsplore new inventions’ and submit an original recipe featuring eggs as the main ingredient. Secondly, Parsi Times are asking readers to share poems and paintings as part of their egg talent contest, announcing the winner on World Egg Day!
Latvia
This year in Latvia, Balticovo will work with Latvian Egg Producers Association and EggPower.eu to organise a flash mob in the heart of Riga Old Town. This event aims to attract 150-200 participants, who will hold a printed carton on top of their heads, forming an egg from a bird’s-eye view, spanning across 150m2. As well as giving the participants packs of eggs as a reward, the organisers will donate 30 eggs for each participant to For Fed Lativa, a food bank charity. This unique celebration will use the slogan ‘Power is in Eggs!’ and aims to highlight the egg as a healthy, nutritious, low-impact protein.
In addition, the popular food truck will make a return to Riga and Lecava, serving complimentary egg dishes while an MC talks around the story of the egg! Balticovo will also celebrate on their social platforms, engaging influencers, sharing lifestyle content and exploring cooking media.
Mexico
In Mexico, The Avícola National Institute (INA) are celebrating World Egg Day by running a number of events alongside Avicola National High School, including a series of talks about the nutritional benefits of the egg and a Facebook giveaway competition.
The Netherlands
For World Egg Day in the Netherlands, Poultry Expertise Centre will organise an event in the poultry museum in Barneveld all about new, innovative ways of preparing eggs! This will include an expert presentation from Anneke Ammerlaan from Vision on Foods, with culinary egg dishes prepared and served by Chef Otilio Valerius. Guests will also consider a range of design options for painting a giant egg, and vote for their favourite. The celebrations will continue onto a second day, where a range of creative activities will take place, including; a children’s art competition, egg canvas painting, and music.
New Zealand
As part of New Zealand’s World Egg Day Celebrations this year, Egg Producers Federation NZ are running the promotion “Power your day with Eggs” where consumers can enter free a competition from 7th – 17th October to win egg-citing prizes!
Nigeria
In Nigeria, Crescite Oak Corporate Limited plan to celebrate World Egg Day by donating eggs to five schools in Ogun State. The team will also inform students of the benefits and nutritional value of the egg, aiming to encourage every pupil to eat at least one egg per day.
Panama
In Panama, ANAVIP are celebrating World Egg Day by hosting a lunch for journalists and a breakfast for preschool children. They also plan to visit local radio stations to further spread the word about the value of eggs!
Pakistan
In Pakistan, the Department of Poultry Production, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in collaboration with the Pakistan Poultry Association will celebrate World Egg Day 2022 by inviting the students of different schools and colleges to an “Egg-ceptional Health Quiz Competition”. They will also organise a cooking competition to explore how eggs can be used in a variety of dishes.
Philippines
In the Philippines, Eggcelsior Poultry Farms Inc. have lots of egg-citing activities planned for World Egg Day. On social media, they are launching a campaign with a range of fun graphics to spread the word about the health benefits of eggs. In retail stores, they will promote World Egg Day through special offers for their products. Additionally, they are running egg-related games and activities in elementary schools, such as egg-tossing and an egg and spoon race!
USA
Center Fresh Eggs in the USA will celebrate World Egg Day this year by making around 1,000-1,200 omelettes for the Sioux Center community.
Rose Acre Farms plan to celebrate by promoting World Egg Day both externally to their customers across social media platforms, where they will be sharing fun facts about how life is #BetterWithEggs, and internally to their team on their virtual message boards.
Zimbabwe
To celebrate World Egg Day 2022, Irvine’s Zimbabwe are running a social media campaign to share information on the nutritional benefits of the egg. In their posts, they encourage the public to join in the celebrations and discuss eggs.

Domino
On the occasion of World Egg Day, Domino have made a video that celebrates the egg industry – this will be shared across the social media platforms of at least thirteen different countries all over the world.

Sanovo Technology will celebrate World Egg Day 2022 by creating and sharing a movie in which colleagues from all around the world will reveal their favourite egg dishes.
